2015 was a very interesting year, filled with both ups and downs. The price of bacon soared, the political landscape changed drastically, and rumors of a Guns n Roses reunion tour abounded. In spite of this turbulent upheaval, YYT pushed forward, providing patrons with the chance to leave their troubles behind and belt out the chorus of Wagon Wheel, sometimes several times a night.
2016 is already giving its predecessor a run for its money. For all of you East Enders, we're booked at The Local Public House on Torbay Road (formally the Grumpy Stump which was formally Club Commodore I think) for a bunch of dates so get off your arses and drop by. We're also going to be heading down to the Beau Bois in Marystown for a couple of nights, which is always a great time. And of course we're back at Darnell's Pub in Paradise for a few scuffs. We'll be playing at the Cuper's Cove Soiree again this year, it was a great time last year and will be even better this time around.
The calendar isn't filled up yet, and we have a few more dates that we will be announcing in the days to come. On an unrelated but incredibly awesome note, our fearless leader Chris Hendry will be performing in the upcoming musical Rock of Ages at the Arts and Culture Centre from March 31 to April 3. Tickets are on sale now, get them while they're hot. It will be worth every penny just to watch Chris prance around the stage. Nobody can prance like Chris can prance. Nobody.
Enjoy the rest of your holidays and may 2016 be the rockingist ever.

We're not dead
Despite rumours to the contrary, we're still alive and kicking. The summer was a blast, we played at the Kelligrews Soiree, the Cupers Cove Soiree, the Ride for Joanna in Marystown, and some weddings and private parties. Can't ask for any better than that. This weekend we're playing at the ASIST annual conference at the Wilds with our boys Molten Bronze. When those guys show up to a party everything goes out the window. Literally.
If you haven't seen us yet (*gasp*) or it's been a while, we'll be playing at Darnell's Pub in Paradise on Saturday, October 10 and for you east enders we'll be at the Local on Torbay Road on Friday, October 23. Mark the date on your calendars, book the sitter, and come out and get your rock on.

West Side Charlies gig update
The rumours are true. Molten Bronze, the world's greatest 80s hair metal tribute act, will be making a guest appearance at West Side Charlies Torbay Road on Saturday, February 28. So to get you in the mood, YYT will be opening the night with a set chock full of 80s tunes. Get that hair up, break out the slouch socks, and find a pair of high waisted jeans. We're going to party like it's 1989. YYT will be hitting the stage at 10:30, and Molten Bronze will be following at midnight. After that it's anyone's guess. Feel free to RSVP to our Facebook event page. See you there.

February Gig Dates
This month you have multiple opportunities to see your favourite Brown Eyed Girl cover band in action. Starting on Saturday, Feb 7, we'll be playing at the Feast of Cowan, a fundraiser for Cowan Heights Elementary. Then on Friday, Feb 13 we're back at Darnell's Pub for another great night of music, dancing and yelling. And to end the month, we're making our debut appearance on Saturday, Feb 28 at West Side Charlies on Torbay Road. Who says February is the worst month ever? Well, I do, but at least we can be miserable together. See you on the road.
