media

After much shagging around, I finally figured out how to embed an mp3 player on this amazing website.  As a test run I uploaded a rough cut of our version of Mr. Jones by Counting Crows, and by rough cut I mean that's about as good a version as I can mix/master given my limited resources and skill.  I'll have a few more tunes ready to post in the coming days so drop by for your listening pleasure.  In the meantime, close your eyes and imagine Chris dancing a la Adam Duritz as he sings with reckless abandon.

CIBC Run for the Cure

This morning we had the pleasure of providing live music for the CIBC Run for the Cure, which raises money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  It was an incredibly well organized event, with over a thousand people attending.  A big shout out to the organizers for all of your hard work, and a big congrats to all participants for braving the weather and still having a great time.  Next year's event will be held on Oct 5 so mark your calendars and we'll see you there.

So long summer...

Yeah, I know, summer doesn't officially end until September 21 but let's face it, the chances of dying from heatstroke are pretty slim from here on out.  So what the hell is going on with YYT?  Are we dead?  Maybe a little bit on the inside, but we're still on the go, and we're still playing at a venue near you.  Summer is always a bit busy for us, as Cordell spends most of his time getting close to nature in his sweat lodge, Scott provides personal protection to celebs like Greg Keelor and Patrick Roach, and Chris works on his benthic sediment collection.  Nonetheless, we still managed to play a few tunes at my sister's wedding, and had a great time playing at the Arnold's Cove Fog Festival.  This weekend we're playing both nights at Darnell's Pub, and we have a few more gigs lined up for the fall and winter.  I can't guarantee this blog will be updated regularly, but our Facebook page will be, so be sure to like us to keep abreast of all things YYT.  Stay classy San Diego.
